Blair’s practical experience and business acumen, developed as an entrepreneur operating in Vancouver, makes him a valued business consultant to our clients. Blair is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science and earned his Certified General Accountant designation in 2013.

As a partner at Maycock & Company LLP, Curtis provides accounting and tax services to professionals, owner-managed businesses and estate services. Curtis specializes in the complex and evolving areas of taxation affecting incorporated professionals and small business corporations. He is a graduate of the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.), and earned his Certified General Accountant designation in 2011.

Carol Wong,

Carol has been a manager and senior accountant with Maycock & Company LLP since 2012. Carol has practiced accounting for 25 years gaining extensive experienced in financial reporting, taxation and assurance, focusing on owner-managed businesses within a variety of industries. Carol received her Certified General Accountant designation in 1990, then earned her Chartered Accountant designation in 1994.

James Lundy,

James Lundy is a manager at Maycock & Company LLP and began his employment in January 2016 as a CPA articling student. Before this, he worked at a medium-sized accounting firm in Victoria for two tax seasons. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree – Accounting major from Camosun College and has received his CPA designation. Starting in September 2021, he is now working through the In-Depth Tax Program, with an estimated completion date of October 2024. Outside of the office, James can be found spending time with his Fiancé or friends/family, playing basketball and golf, or walking his dogs Finn & Ollie.

Jennie Clarkson,

Jennie Clarkson is a Manager at Maycock & Company LLP. and has a combined 10 years of accounting and business experience, having worked in a diverse field of strategy and governance, and industry accounting before joining us in 2014. Jennie is a graduate of the University of Yorkville with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting major, and has received her CPA designation. Prior to discovering her love of accounting, Jennie had her sights set on classical voice performance with the completion of her diploma in music. Outside of the office, Jennie can be found hiking and spending time with family.

Brandon Mulligan,

Brandon Mulligan has been a staff accountant with Maycock & Company LLP since 2017 when he moved to Victoria from Chilliwack. He is a graduate of the University of the Fraser Valley with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Brandon has completed the education portion of the CPA examination and is currently in the process of finalizing his experience verification. He hopes to receive his CPA designation in 2021.

When he is away from the office, you can find Brandon either at the rink playing lacrosse or the golf course.

Karen Tan,

Karen Tan joined Maycock & Company LLP as a staff accountant CPA articling student in November 2018. She is expected to write the CFE in September 2020 and hopes to obtain her CPA designation in 2021. Before working at the firm, she worked at a small accounting firm in Victoria as a receptionist and junior staff accountant. In 2017, Karen received her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree – Accounting major from Camosun College.

In her spare time, Karen can be found perfecting her latte art skills.

Braden Parkinson,

Braden Parkinson joined Maycock & Company LLP as a Staff accountant in January 2021. Graduating from UVic with a degree in combined Biology and Psychology, he later went back to school at Camosun to graduate with a Post-Degree Diploma in Business Administration - Accounting. He has completed the education portion of the CPA and hopes to receive his designation in 2022.

Julia Woolfrey,

Julia Woolfrey has recently moved back to the Island after two years of living abroad in Australia. After much of her young adult life moving from place to place, she is excited to plant some roots in Victoria and is thrilled to join the Maycock & Company LLP team as an Administrative Assistant. Julia joined the team in early 2020 with a keen eye for detail, organization, and multi-tasking abilities, complimenting the tax preparation needs. In pursuit of continual education, Julia is expanding her skill set into bookkeeping after recently completing Quickbooks Bookkeeping training.

Kaitlyn Boone,

Kaitlyn Boone joined Maycock & Company LLP as a receptionist and office administrator in 2019. She is a warm and welcoming point-of-contact for clients while supporting partners, managers, and staff in their day-to-day tasks. Kaitlyn is a Camosun College alumna, having completed her certificate in Business Administration as well as certifications in the culinary arts. She is quick to help whenever possible and tries to ensure the office is thoroughly caffeinated.

Kaitlyn loves a farmers’ market, and both her pets are named after characters from Firefly.
